The true untouched beauty of nature and the authentic culture of Azerbaijan are hidden in its ancient southern cities. On this journey, you will discover Lankaran and Astara, where the country reveals its warm spirit, rich traditions and subtropical landscapes — with a pleasant surprise along the way.

The tour includes a visit to tea plantations, where you will taste famous Lankaran tea and learn the secrets of the Azerbaijani tea ceremony. You will see how tea is grown and processed, and have the opportunity to purchase local tea and herbal blends. Along the route, we will stop at citrus gardens with lemons, mandarins, oranges, feijoa and limes. In season, you can even take part in fruit picking.

You will also visit Gobustan, exploring its rock carvings and mud volcanoes. At the open-air museum, you’ll learn about ancient human settlements, prehistoric life and Paleolithic petroglyphs carved into rocks and cave walls.

The journey may end with a traditional family lunch in a local Azerbaijani or Talysh home. Here you will taste lavangi, the signature dish of southern Azerbaijan, cooked in a tandoor from fish, chicken or game, and experience genuine local hospitality.
